Geneva 2013 will challenge key sustainable development solutions for the financial crisis

Newsbrief published in ICLEI in Europe News, August 2012

The 7th European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns, which will be hosted by the City of Geneva (Switzerland) from 17 – 19 April 2013, will address the global financial crisis in the context of sustainable development and international and local governance for sustainability. The event will also provide a platform to foster critical and creative thinking, and take a step forward to realising sustainable development solutions at all levels.

Building upon the conclusions of the previous European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns in Dunkerque 2010, and the outcomes of the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development, Geneva 2013 will offer plenty of learning and networking opportunities, as well as the chance to mingle with those at the forefront of sustainable thought, practice, policy and implementation.
